As a UX Researcher, Sam is fascinated by users' stories. He's spent the past 10 years leveraging a mix of qualitative and quantitative data to support products for developers, advertisers, and data scientists. Once the MIDS program was established, Sam knew that it would provide the exact compliment to his skills as a UX Researcher. Since finishing the MIDS program last December, Sam has been building a team of UX Data Scientists who are focused on answering UX questions with a Data Science toolkit. Sam also leads the Special Interest Group in Mixed Methods Research at Microsoft, with the goal of building better partnerships between UX and Data Science across the company.
